Located only 1h30 from Paris and 45 min from the Champagne Caves, near Laon in Picardy, the Vendangeoirs (wine-growers) of Orgeval are two beautiful stone houses from 1775 and 1715 that hug a wooded hillside where vines prospered until the late XIXe century. Set in a small village of 80 people in the heart of a green valley, the cottage and the B & B have a peaceful atmosphere that naturally invite you to relax.
B & Bs and cottage, decorated with care in a farmhouse style by Nathalie, are separated from the main vendangeoir where we live. You will have your own personal space.
The garden of the family house is part of "Parks and Gardens of Picardy" and is open each year to the public on the first weekend of June. It is remarkable for its italian terraced structure, built at the same time as the house. 200 old roses, 100 clematis, many perennials plants and box trees have taken place. If you want to visit it during your stay, Nathalie will be pleased to give you the permission to have a walk in it. At all times, it remains private.
Nathalie's passion for farmhouse/cotta.ge style decoration is renowned and many articles have been published in decorating magazines. You will definitely fall in love with her talent and you then have no choice but to visit her antique shop "Les Souris dans le grenier", located in the medieval town of Laon, 20 min from Orgeval. If you are keen on antiques, plan a small space in your car because you certainly won't leave with free hands!
